Nursing Scholarship Opportunity

Golden Triangle Emergency Center- Orange is excited to be awarding two scholarships to one student that is currently enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program, and one student that is currently enrolled in the Licensed Vocational Nursing Program at Lamar State College Orange.  The scholarship award will be $1,000.00 for RN and $500 for LVN.  Please provide your current transcripts, resume, and an 800-word essay behind this cover sheet and return it to your instructor no later than May 13^th.   The award will be presented to the student who best meets the eligibility criteria listed below.

• Must be a full-time student.
• Must hold at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Must submit transcript, resume and 800-word essay describing why you should be chosen for this award, why you chose nursing for your career and your plans for the future upon graduation.
• Deadline for application is May 13^th.
• The winner will be notified by May 15^th and the award will be presented at our facility in Orange by the DON Annie Kovatch.
