Clean Hands Saves Lives – Watch an “old school” video

There has been a lot in the news lately about the spread of Ebola and children being infected with the EV-D68 viral infection. Plus, it’s Flu Season. It’s kind a scary.

Infectious Disease was one of the topics discussed at GTEC’s staff meeting this morning. One of our awesome RN’s reminded us to be sure and pass along to our patients and their families the importance of frequent handwashing. Thanks Danny! (our staff is amazing!) …. more about that later.

Sometimes we need to get back to basics and just do what you heard frequently as a child ……  go wash your hands.

It’s not just for meal time. The CDC states on it’s website that Handwashing is like a “do-it-yourself” vaccine“.

This “old school” video from the CDC is a little corny and outdated, but full of great information. Please take about a minute to watch and share with your friends and family. I know it sounds dramatic, but clean hands can help save lives.

Preventing the spread of illness can start with something as simple as WASHING YOUR HANDS.
